Old appleFamilies on the Farm will start  it’s sixth season in May 2016! New for this year we are offering our program to the general public. Space is limited, so please sign up soon. Working with our friends at Thistle Whistle Farm and partnering with The Delta Family Literacy Program, we’ve provided over 40 families with farm-based nutrition education, growing instruction, children’s activities and organic vegetables and starts to take home every session.

The 2016 program will start with an introductory presentation in mid May. Interested families will take home seedlings and instruction to start their own garden at home. This year we will be focusing on season- long harvests with on-farm programming that begins in late May. Participants will take home recipes, new ideas, vegetables, herbs and a sample from the days’ lesson.
