Sauce Plot

The Sauce Plot is a collaboration between the Kampe Foundation, Thistle Whistle Farm and Kids’ Pasta Project to help kids learn how to grow vegetables for our community. Last year we grew hundreds of pounds of tomatoes to make pasta sauce!

Kids age 8 to 12 are invited to join us. We are looking for youngsters who like to have fun outside on the farm, who are interested in growing plants, both food and flowers. There is a tremendous amount to learn at the Sauce Plot; soil, compost, beetles and butterflies, chickens, flowers and fruit, toads and goats. These creatures and elements will be our subjects and companions in learning!

All of the food that we tend and grow over the course of the season will be used for Kids’ Pasta Project community fundraising dinners or donated to food banks in our region.
